Chris Kabel - Lace Map, 2009

"Handcrafted since the 15th century, lace making is one of Belgium’s oldest traditions. For this project lace has been used to create a gigantic city map of Bruges, lace capital of Belgium. Streets, alleyways, street names and canals as well as monuments are knitted into a lace pattern onto which tourists can find their way."
